Compounding for Integrative Protocols

Functional and integrative medicine practitioners often need a specific dose, an alternative dosage form, or a formulation without common fillers. That's where compounding comes in.

We work with integrative practitioners to prepare medications in the strengths and combinations they prescribe, with particular attention to sensitive patients who can't tolerate standard inactive ingredients.

Dye-Free & Preservative-Free Formulations

Many standard medications contain dyes, preservatives, corn derivatives, and other excipients that sensitive patients react to. We can compound many preparations without them — using hypoallergenic fillers, clean bases, and careful ingredient sourcing. For patients with mast cell activation syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivities, or complex food allergies, this can matter quite a bit.

Methylene Blue

Pharmaceutical-grade methylene blue in capsule form, compounded as prescribed.

A note on quality: only pharmaceutical-grade methylene blue is appropriate for human use — lab-grade and industrial-grade products may contain heavy metal contaminants. Methylene blue is also an MAOI with drug-interaction potential; our pharmacist reviews every order and can consult with your physician on interactions.

Detoxification Support

Chelation agents such as DMSA and binders like cholestyramine, compounded as prescribed.

Gut Health & Microbiome

Nystatin and other antimicrobial preparations, along with additional compounds as prescribed by your integrative practitioner. Our pharmacist is available to discuss specific protocol options with prescribers.
